So many people ask me how I do my eye lashes or whether they are fake? Apparently I create the look of fake eye lashes every day (using my own) and it grabs a lot of attention.
To have that dark, thick look without clumping, you must use two coats of mascara, but let the first layer dry fully before starting the next. Use regular black as a primer. (I use cover girl and love it).
Now starting to apply the mascara do not just brush the lashes with the wand, as most people do. As you remove it from the tube there is a build up on the tip and most people wipe that off before applying. DO NOT WIPE OFF! That is your golden ticket! Use it! Embrace it! So your goal is to apply that tip of the wand to each individual lash. You will go really slow at first until you get the hang of it.
Once you’ve done both eyes top and bottom, let it dry. Then after 5 minutes you will apply waterproof black mascara. Same premise as before, applying the tip to each lash one at a time. Your main objective is to have each lash stand out on its own with a dark thick look. If your lashes are already dark, two coats should be enough. However if you have lighter lashes feel free to add as many layers as you want, but you will only be applying the regular mascara.
Do not use the waterproof over and over. Waterproof mascara is only one application because it’s very thin and watery which will not give you the look you desire. If you’re needing more then the two coat rule, use the regular mascara which leaves a thicker substance on your lashes. Then the waterproof is your finishing touch.
This look can be paired with anything.. Heavy makeup, light makeup, smokey eye, nude lips.. Just about anything, on anyone. For some people they can’t leave the house without eye liner or lip stick. Well I can not go anywhere without my “fake” lashes
