Revlon has never been a brand I have jumped to a lot. After hearing about a few of their killer products I decided to test out a mascara. As their foundations just don’t work with my skin. I picked up the Revlon Photoready Mascara.
Now I am a lover of big lashes, they help to compliment my face and just make me feel confident. The idea with this mascara is that
‘With two coats lashes look 100% more magnified, multiplied, amplified. Lash finding brush with rounded tip easily reaches every single lash for maximum dimension’
I tested this out for a month, and I found that the two coats it recommends just did not cover it. My lashes just looked tiny and unnoticeable. I had to use three maybe four coats before there was any volume but by this time. My lashes looked crispy as if they were spider legs.
This is part of the photoready range by Revlon. This range includes a concealer, primer, and foundation as well as a powder. But for this product in particular, it doesn’t give off this photoready look. To me photoready reminds me of glamourous, big eyes, subtle makeup etc. This just reminded me of something I would use in highschool where we weren’t allowed to wear a lot of makeup.
I do like the mascara wand, it is big yet thin meaning that you can get every lash. However, the product itself helps to separate lashes. Meaning it looks like you don’t have a lot of lashes which is a real disappointment as for me I was hoping to love this mascara due to the wand being so good to getting all your lashes.
This is also a killer for smudges, there wouldn’t be a day where I wouldn’t have mascara all around my eyes when applying it. The mascara is quite runny so it almost flicks off your eyelashes before you have even finished.
The mascara is priced at £10.99 which to me especially for a drugstore product is verging overpriced. Revlon is not particularly cheapest brand in the drugstore but that is quite excessive.
Now with all of the products I review, I am still interested in your opinions. Just because this mascara hasn’t worked for me does not mean it won’t work for you. If you do try this out feel free to comment down below how you find it and any suggestions of products I should try next time.
Until next time, Chloe!
