Home » Products » Pick a Palette: 6 of the Best Eyeshadow Kits

The beginning of September means the end of summer but can also mean a new start – whether that’s a new term, new university or even just a new personal project. You’re going to want to look your best but you also don’t want to waste precious energy fretting about your next makeup look. Palettes are a great way to update and elevate your look – you have a ton of options meaning a variety of possible looks, and palettes are often pretty cost effective. They’re also portable so if you are moving or travelling around a lot, they are ideal for streamlining your makeup kit. Read on for my pick of the best palettes around:

MUA Undress Me Too Eye Palette: MUA always delivers with their lovely formulas and incredibly low prices. Their eye palettes are a snip at just £4.00 for 12 colours and with their amazing range, you’ll be spoilt for choice. If you after something you’ll be able to use everyday, day and night – look to their ‘Undress Me Too’ palette. The shades are all gorgeous neutrals ranging from shimmering golds to cool metallic greys.

Urban Decay Naked and Naked 2: No palette discussion would be complete without mentioning the Urban Decay Naked palettes (£37.00). The Urban Decay Naked palette holds the honour of being the best selling palette of all time, so you know you’re going to be getting something good here. The shadows are all beautifully pigmented and blend incredibly easy and despite the colours all being in the ‘neutral’ category, you’ll be amazed at how many different looks you’ll be able to create. My favourite is the Naked 2 Palette but whichever you buy, you’ll be unlikely to need another palette in your life ever again.

Too Faced Naked Eye Palette: Often overlooked in the higher end palette category, Too Faced cosmetics are one of the best kept beauty secrets around. The shadows are possibly my favourite of any brand, ever and the colour combinations are nothing short of inspired. Pick any eye palette from their wide range and you’re bound to get something good, but my favourite is undoubtedly the Naked Eye palette (£26.00) which I use for day, night and everything in between. An added bonus is that they include how-to cards showcasing different eye looks which are always super easy but end up looking amazing.

MUA Pro Glamour Days Eye Shadows Palette: Another palette from MUA, this one is perfect if you’re after some colour to add spice to your makeup looks. Featuring some beautiful base colours including perfect creams and gorgeous shimmery bronzes and golds, the palette also features some stunning blues and purples – ideal with a tan. This palette definitely isn’t the most essential but it might just become your favourite anyway.

Sleek I Divine Eye Shadow Palette – Oh So Special: Sleek Makeup always offers fantastic value for money and their incredible palettes are no exception. They have 12 shades in total and most are a mix of shimmers and matte colours. ‘Oh So Special’ is my favourite in the range for its beautifully feminine shades featuring beige and peach colours as well as some great darker colours for evening. At £7.99, this is a fantastic buy.

MAC Pro Palette: If you’re in the mood to splurge and are looking to really invest in your makeup collection, then opt for MAC’s Pro Palettes. You buy an empty palette that can fit anything from 2 to 15 eyeshadows and then purchase the eyeshadows individually from MAC’s (extremely comprehensive) range. The empty palettes start from around £6.50 and the eyeshadows cost £12.50. The final cost will obviously depend on the size of the palette you go for but this is a great option if you want something a little more personalised with a guarantee that every colour will you great on you.
