Hello lovelies! I’m Dymond from The Chic Machine and lucky for you, you’ll be seeing a whole lot of me around here on Student Fashion! I am in love with all things fashion and beauty. I just can’t get enough! But that’s enough about little ole me. Let’s get started. It’s been a pretty exciting week in the beauty world with collaborations and collections flying about. Tie in all the fashion weeks going on at the moment, and it’s like we fashionistas never rest!

First I need to highlight the casting genius of Burberry’s new ‘My Burberry’ fragrance ad. Cara Delevigne AND Kate Moss together in one campaign? It’s absolutely gorgeous! I haven’t even smelled the stuff yet and I want it! The scent is based off of the line’s iconic trench coat and costs $75-$125 depending on the size. Guess I’ll be waiting until Christmas for that 🙁

Secondly, I am a nail polish fanatic! I have a bunch of bottles and I can never decide which color to wear, so I usually just paint them all different colors. Soon to join my repertoire is the Nails Inc. x Alexa Chung collection. The polishes are all based off of different fabrics and patterns including Lace, Sequin and Camo! The whole collection can be found at NailsincSephora and other retailers for $15 each. Doesn’t get much better than that does it?

Lastly, I want to thank the makeup goddesses for bestowing this miracle upon us. Behold! M.A.C. Cosmetics’ new Rocky Horror Picture Show inspired collection! I love this movie. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I can dance every step to the time warp and Dr.Frank-N-Furter always leaves me hanging with antici…….pation. Even if you’ve never seen the film, or even heard of it, this collection has something for everyone. The 21-piece set ranges from $14-$44 and includes glitter pots, deep black eye pencils, and most importantly, 4 red shaded lipsticks influenced by the show’s disembodied red lipped logo. It’s going to be released October 2 just in time for Halloween. Costume or not, this is something anyone can use all year round. I had an awesome time writing my first post here on Student Fashion, and I’ll see you guys in two weeks! Ciao! <3 Dymond

A 16 year old girl with the much cliched passion for fashion. I think bowties are cool and thigh high anything is cute. :)
