Now that it’s October and autumn is well and truly underway it’s time to embrace the autumnal trends. It’s also the time where beauty brands release their A/W collections. So we have decided to give you the low down of some of the best collections for autumn that you might want to take a look at.

Illamasqua Once Collection

The new collection from Illamasqua has a vintage Maria Antoinette feel to it. The colours aren’t the usual dark shades that are associated with autumn time, this collection has a lot of dusky pink pretty tones to it. A particular highlight in the collection is the Vintage Metallix Eyeshadows which are perfect in creating a very simple yet elegant eye look. Overall this is a really classic collection from Illamasqua with lots of timeless pieces.

MAC A Novel Romance collection

MAC release a lot of collections throughout the year, however their latest collection out for autumn is the ‘A Novel Romance’ Collection. The collection is centred around thoughts of seduction and ‘your deepest emotions’ according to the website which can be seen throughout with lots of purple, green and plum, perfect autumnal tones.

Topshop A/W Collection

Topshop are set to bring out not one but two collections for A/W 14. First up is their official AW14 collection, one main thing to look out for in this collection is the cheek jellies, kind of like Benefit Cha Cha tint but in jelly form – there will be five colours to choose from ranging from a daring plum all the way to a perky coral tone. What’s interesting about this collection is that every shade the cheek jellies come in the nail varnishes and the lipsticks come in the exact shade – think lots of autumnal colours from orange through to red through to purple.

The other collection may not be especially for autumn but it is an exciting one. The face collection is all about the base, and is the first foundation collection from the brand. The collection contains a range of different shades of foundations plus a concealer palette.

Available from Topshop stores in October.
