Now that the temperatures are dropping we all want those warm, cozy days in front of the fireplace, snuggled up in a warm blanket , hot chocolate in hand, while watching a lovely movie. This week I will share a great idea for you to top up those cozy days with a beauty treatment! What about a homemade face mask that you can apply while enjoying that movie or preparing your biscuits to go with that hot chocolate? Here are several great recipe’s for homemade face masks. They are all very simple and guaranteed to leave your skin soft and smooth afterwards.

Homemade Face Masks

1. Lemon juice & egg

(for 1 application)

–          1 egg white

–          Juice from half lemon

Beat together the lemon juice and egg white until well mixed. Apply to your face avoiding the area around your eyes. Leave it for about 30 minutes and then wash your face with warm water.

2. Egg White, cucumber & avocado

(for 1 application)

–          1/2 cup chopped cucumber

–          1/2 cup chopped avocado

–          1 egg white

–          2 tsp. powdered milk

Combine the ingredients in a blender until they turn into a smooth paste. Apply the mask for about 30 minutes, again avoiding the area around your eyes. Clean your face with warm water once the 30 minutes have passed.

3. Peach & egg white

(for 1 application)

–          1 egg white

–          1 ripe peach (peeled and stoned)

Blend the egg white and the peach in a blender until well combined. Apply for about 30 minutes avoiding the area of your eyes and then remove it with cool water.

4. Honey, apple cider vinegar & oatmeal

(for 1 application)

– 5 tbsp. honey

– 2 tsp. apple cider vinegar

– ½ cup ground oatmeal

Mix all the ingredients until it turns into a thick paste. Apply the mask for about 30 minutes or until it dries. After the 30 minutes rinse it off with warm water.
