Hey guys! I’m back with another post for you guys and this particular post is a very exciting one. I’m going to be talking about the amazing opportunity I had to go to Brentwood Essex on behalf of the team here at Student Beauty to check out the newly launched Chloe’s Beauty Bar. I’m sure the majority of us will have watched or at least heard of ITV2’s hit reality TV series The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) and will definitely know who Chloe Sims is, but just incase you happen to live under a rock somewhere and are not familiar with TOWIE I’ll bring you up to speed!
Chloe Sims is one of the lovely cast members of TOWIE and the woman behind Chloe’s Beauty Bar. Not only is she amazingly beautiful and charismatic but she is quite the business lady with her hand in various ventures such as her own fake tanning range, hair extensions, false eyelashes as well as her own online clothing and accessories store, Starship Boutique. Seriously how does she do it all and raise a daughter? Superwoman Alert! With all these booming businesses, Chloe didn’t stop there and with a lot of her ventures already being beauty related it seemed like the next step was kind of a no brainer, open up a hair and beauty bar! But not just any beauty bar, an Essex-LA mash up style beauty bar that embodies Chloe’s experiences of LA and her beloved home Essex.
Chloe’s Beauty Bar is a 50/50 business partnership with Chloe’s business partner Chloe Hearn (lovely coincidence) and it officially opened for business on Saturday 10th May 2014. I had the amazing opportunity to check the premises out as well as try out a couple of treatments. I also got to have a chat with the lovely staff that work there are and the lady behind it all Chloe Sims.
Chloe’s brother and fellow TOWIE cast member, Charlie Sims was also there. Charlie was lovely enough to Chat with us and tell us just how proud he was of his sister’s venture and how amazing he thought it all was. Check out what Chloe and Charlie had to say about Chloe’s Beauty Bar as well as other amazing footage from the salon in our video above.
My impressions of Chloe’s Beauty Bar are that it’s nothing like any other beauty salon I’ve ever been to and it has its own unique concept which I think is really cool and unique with there being a beauty salon on practically every corner of every high street. Chloe’s beauty bar is described as “a little piece of LA” by the lovely Miss Sims herself and co-signed by brother Charlie and it is an LA-style beauty bar where women can pop in for a few treatments in their sweats and sunglasses and leave looking amazing and ready for a fab night out or a special occasion! I thought that the beauty bar totally screamed Hollywood glam with the all white decor with gold and subtle orange accents throughout. It even has gold signage that lights up outside and a little champagne bar on the inside, I mean SHAAA UP!! The beauty bar is definitely minimalist but it’s very chic and elegant and not at all over the top like I thought it would be. My favorite part of the interior was definitely the makeup station which was a huge gold framed mirror complete with dressing room style light bulbs all around it.
The most important part of any business venture’s success is obviously the product and it was apparent that a lot of time and thought was put into the different range of treatments and products on offer so as to cater to the target market. The Beauty bar is basically a one stop shop where you can get a range of beauty treatments done from hair styling to make up, to manicures and pedicures, waxing, spray tanning and lash & brow maintenance. The prices of the treatments are also surprisingly very affordable which is always a bonus for people out there that want a taste of that Hollywood lifestyle on a realistic budget and beside’s you guys know by now that I like to champion affordable fashion and beauty. The hair styling bar for example, offers 5 amazing hairstyles which you can choose out of a detailed menu at one amazing price of £22! The same goes with the make up station where you have the choice of 5 looks at a very competitive price of £25! This is definitely a very affordable price point and much cheaper than getting your makeup done at makeup counters in department stores or hiring a make up artist and the best part is you get the exact same standard if not better that you would get at other places. Don’t take my word for it though, fellow blogger Jessica Green from Mixed Bouquet and had her makeup and nails done at Chloe’s Beauty Bar and you can check out what she had to say in our video above.
The staff at Chloe’s beauty bar were also very friendly and pleasant and very knowledgeable about their range of treatments and products – which is always a great thing as you want to feel like you’re in safe hands whenever you’re getting any kind of treatment done. The makeup station is decked out with a wide array of products and we were told by the lovely makeup artist, Whitney that the products were custom made for Chloe’s Beauty Bar by Crown Brush which is a reputable company that has been in the cosmetics industry for over 20 years.
The tanning station is also decked out with various tanning products from Chloe Sims’ Starship range by Montana tan and the beauty bar also stocks various products from the range which clients can purchase for home use such as Chloe Sims 1hr tanning lotion and Chloe Sims 1hr tanning mousse .
The hair station is another station where you’re in safe hands with the experienced hair team and I managed to steal a few minutes to chat to one of the hair stylists Joel who explained the concept of the hair station and the fact that omission of washing, coloring and cutting stations was deliberate so that the focus is 100% the styling of the hair. Joel explained that clients can choose a hairstyle from the 5 looks provided in the menu and each look has its own unique picture and description to help the client make their choice. Joel also explained that the salon is fully flexible and if the clients prefer to have something else which is not on offer they can work towards meeting the clients needs which is great! The hair station also provides hair extension application and clients can also chose to add some extensions from the Easilocks extensions range which has its brand ambassador as former TOWIE cast member Lucy Meck.
I had the opportunity to get my nails done at the nail station and was highly impressed with the time and care the Lovely Jannine took on my nails. She talked me through the range of nail products and treatments that the beauty bar offered which included Gel application, simple file and paint, manicures and pedicures. Jannine also talked me through the products the beauty bar used which included products from Chloe’s Starship range as well as other well known brands such as Essie.
All in all, each station offers the utmost care in dealing with clients and uses the best products that your money can buy.
I would definitely recommend visiting Chloe’s Beauty Bar for a try of one or a few of their many treatments or simply to buy some merchandise from the various ranges that are stocked. The Beauty Bar operate on an appointment basis but also do take walk-ins based on availability of slots. I would also recommend following Chloe’s Beauty Bar on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to stay updated with any special offers and competitions.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I do hope you check out Chloe’s Beauty Bar if you ever happen to be in Brentwood or Essex in general. We would also like to thank Chloe Sims, Chloe Hearn, Charlie Sims and the lovely team at Chloe’s Beauty Bar for having us at their lovely salon, for a lovely time and for all the lovely goodies we received on the day. We wish the beauty bar nothing but success!
